William "Cowboy Bill" Taylor Obituary

William “Cowboy Bill” Taylor, 68 of Caseyville, IL, passed away on Monday September 15, 2025 at Southgate Healthcare Center in Metropolis, IL.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 325 State Route 177, New Baden, IL.

Bill was a “jack of all trades.” If it was broken, he could fix it and if you wanted it to work differently, he would rebuild it. He was very artistic and could draw anything and dearly loved his dogs. Bill enjoyed being on the river and would never pass up a good hunt.

Bill is survived by his daughters, Jolene Taylor (Josh Jones) and Tiffany Yates (Ryan); son, Craig; grandchildren, Ahna Jones and Ryder Yates; sister, Raecel Gibson (Dewayne); nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Samantha, Travis, Jenna, and Kristine; and life-long friend, Tracy (Eric) and godson, Jeremy.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Joan Taylor and sister, Gertrude “Trudy” Fogarty.

Arrangements are entrusted to Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis. Condolences for the family may be left at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
