Vance Sexton

Vance Sexton, 62 of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Southgate Health Care Center.

Vance was a hard worker who enjoyed horses, muscle cars and loved his two grandchildren. He was of Christian faith and was a loving son, father, papa and brother who will be missed.

Vance is survived by his mother, Barbara Rushing and husband Roy; daughter, Jessica Holt and husband Brandon; grandchildren, Breona Holt and Bradon Vance Holt; siblings, Devin Sexton (Trish), Danita Christian (David), Nisha Burkhart (Tommy), Melissa Scheuler, and Duncan Sexton; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Deon Sexton; grandparents, Mary and Eugene Suggs and Joe and Margaret Sexton; and brother, Dean Sexton.

A joint celebration of life for Vance and Dean will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Eastland Life Church with Pastor Brian Anderson officiating.
