Terri Lynn (Kelly) Johnston

Terri Lynn Johnston, age 68 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 2:20 am on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Pastor Joey Dunning officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Terri was retired from Bradshaw & Weil after 20 years of service and then retired from the City of Metropolis after 22 years of service. She was a member of First Methodist Church in Metropolis.

Terri is survived by her mother, Raye Kelly; husband of almost 49 years, John Johnston; daughter, Stacy Wedeking and husband Lynn; grandchildren, Madelyn Wedeking and Dalton Wedeking; grand dog, Fritz;  brother, Jeff Kelly and wife Beth; several nieces and nephews.

Terri was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Kelly; sister, Debbie Tirey and husband Chuck.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 11 am to 1 pm at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
