Teresa Lee Johnson

Teresa Lee Johnson, age 66 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 9:00 am on Friday, September 22, 2023 at her residence.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the Living Waters Full Gospel Church in Joppa with Rev. Shane Baker officiating.

Teresa was a homemaker, devoted mother, and grandmother.

Teresa is survived by her children, Heather Long and husband Phil, LeeAnn LaBelle; Judy Zaragossa and husband Ron, James Sumnlers Jr. and wife Rhonda, John Sumnlers and wife Jennifer, and Elizabeth Brown and husband Jerid; grandchildren, Andrea, Chance, Brittnie, Logan (Alexis), Hannah (Bryan), Emily, Lydia, and Ashlynn; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Linda Riley, Barbara Davis, Vivian Mason, Patty Henderson, Ylonda Erwin; brother, Curtis Spillman; several nieces and nephews.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bonnie (O’Neil) Spillman; husband of 21 years, Steve Johnson; granddaughter, Katie Forney; brothers, John Spillman and Gary Spillman.
