Stephen Wilkey

Stephen Wilkey, age 53 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 9:10 am on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at his residence.

Per his wishes there will not be any services.

Stephen worked in maintenance at Misty Meadows Senior Living Center in Metropolis and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Dallas Cowboys.

Stephen is survived by his mother, Betty Wood; father, Dennis Wilkey and wife Janie; brother, Paul Lynch; special friend, Jennifer Smith; special coworker, Tammy Blasdel; niece, Samantha Collins; nephews, Blake Lynch, Taylor Lynch, Paul Alan Lynch, and Christopher Lee Lynch; several great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Stephen was preceded in death by his step father, Charles “Chuck” Wood; brother, Vernon Wilkey; grandparents, Vernon and Madie (Shoemaker) Holt and Markey and Laverne (Edmonds) Wilkey; nephew, Jeremy Lynch; 3 aunts and 2 uncles.
