Stan Evans

Stan Evans, age 89 of Benton, KY formerly of Metropolis, IL passed away at 11:59 pm on Monday, May 13, 2024 at his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Monday, May 20, 2024 at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Bro. Justin Wolfe officiating.

Stan was of the Methodist faith and a lifetime member of IBEW 502.

Stan is survived by his wife of 28 years, Marlene Evans; daughters, Tracy Gamblin (Steve), Lisa Kennedy (Elton), and Kerry Wood (David); grandchildren, Megan Gamblin Shpayer, Chase Gamblin, Austin Kennedy, Ian Wood, Cooper Wood, Avery Wood; several great grandchildren; sister, Janiece Spencer Cox; nephew, Evan Spencer.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Calista (Douglas) Evans; 1st wife, Clara Jean Evans; son, Chad Evans; grandchildren, Jordan Kennedy and Stephen Brice Gamblin.
