Shirley Jewell (Hill) Lewis

Shirley Jewell Lewis, age 73 of rural Karnak, Illinois passed away at 4:10 pm on Monday, October 27, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Per her wishes there will not be any services.

Shirley was retired from Maple Grove Elementary School where she worked as a Teacher’s Aide. She was a member of Joppa Baptist Church.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 57 years, Terry Lewis; son, Mike Lewis and wife Leslie; grandson, Dustin Womack and wife Sara; granddaughter, Kate Lewis; great grandson, Camilo Womack; several nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Clara Hill; brothers, Dewey Hill and Mitchell Hill.
