Sally D. Owens

Sally D. Owens, 60 of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Massac Memorial Hospital.

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the Fort Massac State Park Fairground Pavillion (by the trout pond).

Sally worked for over 16 years at Montego’s and for several years at Dairy Queen. She attended Community Christian Church and enjoyed thrifting and the Garden of the Gods. Most of all, Sally loved her family and cherished the time spent with her grandbabies.

Sally is survived by her daughter, Samantha Owens; grandchildren, Cruz, Kasen, Zoey, Westin, Olivia, Ian, and Benny; companion of 12 years, Trent Light; sister, Dee Tolen; nieces, Jennifer and Stephanie.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mamie Adams and her son, Michael Owens.
