Roger Miller

Roger Miller, 71 of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at Southgate Health Care Center.

A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 16th, 2023 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.

Roger was of Methodist faith. He worked for several years on the railroad, then went to work at Lafarge where he retired as store room manager. Roger enjoyed golfing, hunting quail and hiking, especially at Fern Cliff and Garden of the Gods. He was a happy, loving father, husband and friend who will be missed.

Roger is survived by his wife of 16 years, Phyllis (Korte) Miller; son, Bryan Miller and wife Meg Moynihan; stepchildren, Alissa Harris (Chad), Amanda Quint (Uriah Barnes), Drew Quint (Melissa) and Autumn Quint; several step grand and great grandchildren; sister, Beth Everard; cousin, Cindy Clapp; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Louise (Aikins) Miller.

Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, November 16th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
