Robin Bomar Obituary

Robin D. Bomar, age 59 of Metropolis, Illinois formerly of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on June 17, 2020 at her residence.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 10 am to 12 noon at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with graveside services with military rites following at Hillerman Baptist Church Cemetery with Joe and Judy Neely officiating.

Robin served on active duty in the U.S. Army for 12 years during Desert Storm. She was an ordained minister and worked for many years in and with alcohol recovery. Above all things Robin will be remembered as a loving and caring person who would give anything to anybody. She will be missed.

Robin is survived by her adopted parents, James and Pearl King; partner, Kathryn King; sisters, Debbie Drescher and Suzanne Bomar; brothers, Jeff Clark and Bob Bomar.

Robin was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Pat Bomar and Edith McGaha; sister, Bonnie Cotner.

Memorials may be made in Robin’s name to your local AA, Al Anon, or Recovery Program.
