Robby Thompson

Robby Thompson, age 73 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 10:22 pm on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Community of Christ Church, 1309 Commercial Park Road, Metropolis, Illinois with Ivan Woods officiating.

Robby served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.

Robby is survived by his sister, Sharon Neill; step children, Ivan Woods and wife Mae, Pamela Suggs and husband John, Mike Woods, Randy Woods and wife Pamela; several grandchildren including Kevin, Dustin, and Scott Sommer; several nieces and nephews.

Robby was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Stella (Hudson) Thompson; wife, Shirley Woods-Thompson, step children, Glenn Woods and Lisa Sommer; siblings, Wilma Dorris, Billy Thompson, Emma Johnson, Betty Hicks, and Louis Thompson.
