Phil Walters

Phil Walters, age 90 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at his residence.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Rev. Micah Spicer officiating. Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery.

Phil was a retired auto mechanic and was a member of First Christian Church in Metropolis.

Phil is survived by his son, David Walters and wife Mary; four grandchildren, Britney Walters-Chester, Aaron Walters, Jenny Jansen, and Maggie Meyer; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Leroy Walters, Sr. and Nellie (Phelps) Walters; 1st wife, Dorothy Evelyn Walters; 2nd wife, Betty Collins Walters; daughter, Betty Adams; sisters, Anna Schwegman, Mariam Evers, and Elizabeth Arrison; brothers, James Marion Walters, Sr. and Clarence Leroy “Curly” Walters, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 10 am to 11 am at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
