Peggy (Meeks) Davis

Peggy (Meeks) Davis, age 84 of Brookport, IL passed away at 4:08 pm on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at the Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 30, 2023 in Pell Cemetery with Joe Neely officiating. There will be no visitation. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Peggy worked at Walmart as a greeter for many years, was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church Brookport.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Karen Davis Riley; grandson, Logan Riley; sister-in-law, Barbara Davis; brother-in-law, Vernon Davis (Sharon); several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Lucille (Walbright) Meeks; husband, Kenneth Davis; son, Gary Davis; sister, Vannie Fick South.

Memorial contributions may be given in Peggy’s name to First Baptist Church Brookport, 700 Pell Road, Brookport, IL 62910.
