Peggy L (Troutt) Bacon

Peggy L. Bacon, age 82 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 6:20 pm on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Massac Memorial Hospital.

Following Peggy’s wishes there will not be any services.

Peggy was a member of Weaver Creek Baptist Church.

Peggy is survived by her children, John O. Bacon Jr. and wife Toni of Ozark, IL, Nathan Bacon of Eldorado, IL, Sharon Windhorst and husband Everett of Monte Vista, CO, and Abilene McKnight and husband Paul of Brookport, IL; grandchildren, John O. Bacon III, Danica Hebert, and Emily Windhorst; great grandchildren, Natalie Hebert, John O. “Jeb” Bacon IV, Teagan Bacon, and Madison Bacon; brother, Dan J. Troutt of WI; several nieces and nephews.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Maude (Renfro) Troutt; husband of 31 years, John O. Bacon Sr.; sisters, June Tester, Clara O’Conner, Norma Jean Troutt, and Patty Ann Troutt; brothers, Donald Troutt, Hershal Troutt, Jackie Troutt, Paul Troutt, Terry Troutt, and William Troutt.

Memorials may be made in Peggy’s name to Project Hope Humane Society, P.O. Box 125, Metropolis, Illinois 62960.
