Patty Lee (Brinker) Waynick

Patty Lee (Brinker) Waynick, age 72 of Brookport, Illinois passed away at 8:21 am on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Bremer officiating. Burial will follow in the Pell Cemetery.

Patty had worked at the Shawnee Correctional Center and as a legal secretary for Joe Neely and Gary Lorenz. She was a member of St. John Church.

Patty is survived by her husband of 32 years, Linn Waynick; daughter, Rachel McClellan and husband Eric; step daughters, Janice Miller and Amy Ellis; 7 grandchildren; sister, Nancy Yates; several nieces and nephews.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Henry “Butch” and Dixie Dimple (Butterfield) Brinker; sisters, Amy Sherman and Peggy Watts; nephew, Adam Brinker; her faithful canine companion, Lucy.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 12 pm to 2 pm at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made in Patty’s name to St. John Church, c/o Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home, P.O. Box 760, Metropolis, Illinois 62960.

Pallbearers will be Tim Yates, Richard Shappard, Russell Shappard, Jonathan Koons, John Ellis, and Eric McClellan.

Honorary pallbearer will be Tyson Watts.
