Patricia Ann (Legereit) Schriefer

Patricia Ann Schriefer, age 80 of Metropolis, Illinois departed this life for her heavenly reward on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Metropolis Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Terrell officiating. Burial will follow at Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Patricia was retired from Massac Memorial Hospital after 35 years of service and a member of Congregational Holiness Church in Paducah. She started singing and playing the accordion in her father’s church at 9 years old and continued to play the piano weekly until her health would not allow. She read thru the bible for nine years in a row.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ronald Schriefer; son, David Schriefer; several nieces and nephews.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. J.B. and Reba (Segers) Legereit; brothers, Rick Legereit, Daniel Legereit, and Aaron Legereit; sister, Lenora Craig.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home and on Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 11 am until the service hour at 1 pm.

Memorials may be made in Patricia’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
