Nancy (Buchanan) Bryan

Nancy (Buchanan) Bryan, age 73 of Metropolis, Illinois met her Lord face to face at 10:30 pm on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Continue Care Hospital at Baptist Health Paducah with her loving family by her side.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Metropolis with Dr. Joe Buchanan and Kelly Glass officiating.

Nancy was born on May 9, 1950 in Paducah, Kentucky the daughter of Robert and Ruth Buchanan. She married the love of her life Robert “Bob” Bryan on August 16, 1969 at the First Baptist Church in Metropolis. She had retired as the Office Manager of her husband’s dental office, was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Metropolis, and was active in the Ladies Golf Association at the Metropolis Country Club.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bob Bryan; daughters, Joy Bryan and Terra Bryan; sister, Patty Clark and husband Vinny; brother, Neal Sellars and wife Kay; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Steinfeld, Jennifer Sammons (Jason), Matt Jones, Jessica Bowman (Josh), Carly Eskridge (Austin), Aaron Clark (Courtney), and Hailey Miles (Kent); several great nieces and great nephews and many friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Ruth (Hopkins) Buchanan; sister-in-law, Pat Sellars.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 11 am until 12 noon at First Baptist Church in Metropolis.

Memorials may be made in Nancy’s name to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 307 Massac Creek Road, Metropolis, Illinois 62960.
