Mona L. (Fairfield) Webb

Mona L. Webb, 65 of Metropolis, Illinois, passed away peacefully at 3:30 am on Wednesday morning, October 9, 2024 at Baptist Health Paducah surrounded by her family.

Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Otterbien Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Bremer officiating. Family and friends may gather at the cemetery from 12:30 pm until the time of the service.

Mona attended St. John’s Church and was retired from Metropolis Head Start. She enjoyed spending time working in her yard and the outdoors and playing Bingo. What she loved most though, was spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters.

Mona is survived by her husband of 36 years, Gary Webb of Metropolis; mother, Edith Fairfield of Brookport; son, Aaron Webb and wife Rebekah of Metropolis; 2 granddaughters, Mckenna Webb and Calliope Webb of Metropolis; sister, Marilyn Dassing and husband Raymond of Metropolis; brother, Meredith Fairfield and wife Jean of Cleveland, TN; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Fairfield; daughter, April Cohoon-Webb; and brothers, Michael Fairfield and Marvin Fairfield.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, 1 E. Wacker Drive, Ste 1500, Chicago, Illinois 60601-1851.
