Mary Ann Bremer

Mary Ann Bremer, 82 of Metropolis, IL, formerly of Bloomington, IL, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Southgate Health Care Center in Metropolis.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at St. John Lutheran Church with Vicar Aaron Dawson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mary retired from Country Companies in Bloomington, IL. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and the Quilters at St. John.

Mary is survived by her nieces, Susan Bremer, Holly Browning, and Traci Fiorentini all of Metropolis; nephews, Monte Bremer, Mitch Bremer, Steve Bremer, Blake Bremer all of Metropolis, Derril Bremer of Brookport, Tony Bremer of Dardenne Prairie, MO, Brent Bremer of Lancaster, CA, and Blair Bremer of Mt. Vernon, IN; many great and great-great nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Lora Bremer; sister, Leona Bremer; brothers, Paul Bremer, Raymond Bremer, Otis Bremer, Omer Bremer, Lindell Bremer, Wendell Bremer, and Herschel “Bully” Bremer.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 3rd, from 1:00 p.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church.

Memorial contributions may be given in Mary’s name to St. John Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 5187 Old Marion Road, Metropolis, IL 62960. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
