Marvin Fairfield

Marvin Fairfield, age 71 of Brookport, Illinois passed away at 12:40 pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at the Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024  in Otterbien Cemetery with military rites. There will be no visitation. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. 

Marvin served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era, retired from the Army Corp of Engineers, and attended Mt. Sterling Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Judith Fairfield; mother, Edith Fairfield; sons, Tim Fairfield and wife Bridget and Tony Fairfield and wife Rachel; step sons, Cody Carlson and wife Ashley and Cory Carlson; grandchildren, Brianne Fairfield, Curtis Fairfield, Kamren Fairfield, Tyler Fairfield, Remy Carlson, and Hadley Carlson; sisters, Marilyn Dassing and husband Raymond and Mona Webb and husband Gary; brother, Meredith Fairfield and wife Jean; several nieces and nephews.

Marvin was preceded in death by his father, Robert Fairfield; brother, Michael Fairfield.
