Margie M (Hunerkoch) Obermark

Margie M. Obermark, 83 of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at Southgate Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at St. Stephens Lutheran Church with Pastor Tom Emmerson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Margie was a lifelong member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church and loved her family and church family.

Margie is survived by her sons, Eric Obermark and Kevin Obermark and wife Carrie; grandchildren, Kaylee Territo (Nick), Kassie Little, Clayton Obermark (Kaity), and Kurtis Obermark (Summer); great grandchildren, Emmie, Hunter, and Walker ; one brother, Earl “Cabbage” Hunerkoch (Dixie); several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Hunerkoch; mother and stepfather, Evelyn (Dummeier) and Alvin Horstman; brothers, Wayne Hunerkoch and Gale “Whitey” Hunerkoch.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 2nd from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at St. Stephens Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be made in Margie’s name to COPE Food Pantry, P.O. Box 761, Metropolis, Illinois 62960.
