Lynn Neil Jennings

Lynn Neil Jennings, 71, formerly of Metropolis, passed away on Thursday, 7 Dec. 2023, at the Holly Hills Nursing Home in Anna, IL. 

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, 15 Dec 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Metropolis, IL with Rev. Michael Mujule officiating.  Internment, after Mass, is at the Masonic Cemetery in Metropolis. 

Lynn Neil was born to Thomas and Hilda (BESS) Jennings on 11 May 1952, in Metropolis, Massac County, IL.  He lived several years at the Krypton House in Metropolis.  Then he transferred to Anna, IL, where he lived for 21 years.  He most recently lived at Holly Hills Nursing Home.  He leaves many friends at both Holly Hill, Mulberry Manor, and the Krypton House.

Lynn Neil is survived by sisters, Geraldine M Katovich, Tanna Konemann, and brothers, T Michael Jennings, Ike Eugene Jennings. 

Lynn Neil was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Hilda Jennings, sister Patricia M Jennings, brother Stephen Jennings and nephew Kent Katovich. 

The family requests that memorials may be made in Lynn Neil’s name to the Holly Hill Nursing Home, 203 Lafayette Street, Anna, Illinois 62906 or the Special Olympics Illinois, 605 East Willow Street, Normal, Illinois 61761 or the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 315 East 3rd Street, Metropolis, Illinois 62960.
