Lorna Manley, 65, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022 at her residence.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the First Christian Church with Rev. Keith Tilford officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
Lorna was a registered nurse with years of varied experiences. She was a member of the First Christian Church which she loved. She enjoyed taking cruises and traveling with her husband, Stephen and loved her birthday. She was a loving wife, mom, daughter, grandma, sister, aunt and in-law who will be deeply missed.
Lorna is survived by her mother, Evelyn Nelson of Orlando, FL; husband, Stephen Manley of Metropolis, IL; daughters, Dawn James and husband Shane of Tampa, FL, and Jill Asbury of Metropolis; grandchildren, Alex Meekin (Brooke) of Colorado, Ashton Wentworth (Jon) of Paducah, KY, and Gage Asbury of Metropolis; two step grandchildren, Ryan and Michael James of Tampa, FL; great grandchildren, Asher Meekin of Colorado and one on the way; brother, Ron Nelson (Amanda) of Orlando, FL; in-laws, Paula and Rick Shelton, Carol and Allen Hartman, Terry and Kay Manley, all of Metropolis, Kelly and Danny Clawson of Nolensville, TN and Chris Studer of Louisiana; and an extensive list of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edmund Studer; mother and father-in-law, Paul Manley and Betty Manley; brothers, Ed Studer and Terry Studer; and brother-in-law, Jay Manley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given in Lorna’s name to First Christian Church, 420 Catherine Street, Metropolis, IL, 62960.
