Lillian Irene (Finney) Parker

Our beautiful wife, mother, and grandmother, Lillian Irene Parker, 84 of Metropolis, IL, went to her eternal reward on Monday, February 24, 2025 surrounded by her family.

Graveside services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, February 27, 2025 in Kingston Cemetery with Pastor Jim Duncan and Pastor Bob Wetherington officiating. There will be no visitation. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Lillian was a Baptist faith and loved her family with all her heart, gentle assurance and loving guidance. Her life was one well-lived and with all the love one could hold. She will be deeply missed beyond measure.

Lillian is survived by her husband of 66 years, Jerry Parker; children, Keith Parker and wife Marsha, Dawn Windhorst and husband David, and Leslie Finke and husband Glenn; three grandchildren, Brandon Parker and wife Shalie, Alyssa Bedsole and husband Robert, and Krista Barker and husband Reid; two great grandchildren, Anna Faulk and Donovan Parker; sister-in-law, Pat Cummins; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raleigh H. and Lena (Lynn) Finney; sisters, Wilma Etheridge, Frances Rosalie Ashby, and Betty Wetherington; brother, Earl Reynolds; and infant brother, Raleigh Finney.
