Larry "Deanie" Dean Bradford

Larry Dean “Deanie” Bradford, age 75 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 6:00 pm on Monday, August 19, 2024 at the Barnes Jewish Hospital.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at the Broadway Church of Christ in Metropolis with Eric Smith officiating.

Larry worked at Consolidated Coal for 20 years, then  AEP Cook Coal Terminal, and retired from TVA Shawnee Steam Plant. He was a member of Broadway Church of Christ in Metropolis and the United Mine Workers of America.

Larry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Janice (Steinkamp) Bradford; son, Alex Bradford and wife Emily; daughter, Whitney Bradford; grandchildren, Ashton, Isabell, Drew, and Delilah Bradford, Olivia Rush and Adrenaline Rush; special grandchildren, Monte Rush II, Ivie Rush, Frankie Rush, and Nadia Rush; sister, Andrea Talley; brothers, Gregory Bradford and wife Rhonda and Billy Bradford and wife Lora; aunt, Helen Sutton; brother-in-law, Lloyd Steinkamp and wife Rachel; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Ardell and Hilda Mae (Murrell) Bradford; brother, Loren “Butch” Bradford.

Memorials may be made in Larry’s name to the National Kidney Foundation Finance Department, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
