Larry Dean McCoy

Larry Dean McCoy, 74 of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.

A memorial mass will be held at a later date.

Larry was retired from the United States Army and had served three tours in Vietnam. He was a member of St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.

Larry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marsha McCoy; one daughter, Laurinda Rideout (Jon); three sons, Lawrence McCoy (Casey), Patrick McCoy (Pamela), and Christopher McCoy; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; three sisters, Gloria Briggs, Sandy Smith, and Donna Burch; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Frieda (Hogg) McCoy; daughter-in-law, Amber McCoy; siblings, Nancy Fleenor, James McCoy, Judith Sullivan, Robert McCoy, Patsy Turner, David McCoy, and Fredrick Smith.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
