Judy (Williams) Kommer

Judy Kommer, 85 of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at home with her daughter by her side.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home. Burial will follow in IOOF Cemetery in Metropolis.

Judy retired from Massac Memorial Hospital as a paramedic after 35 years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything. In her spare time though, she liked to sew and tend to her flowers in her garden.

Judy is survived by her son, Mike Kommer and wife Dianne; daughter, Reita McCoy; her beloved dog, Rufus; grandson, Jason Kommer; bonus grandchildren, Melissa Elam, Heidi Schierbaum, Cory McCoy and Wes McCoy; great grandchildren, Jacqueline Malone, Owen and McKenzie Kommer and Makayla Elam; brother, Ronnie Williams (Brenda); sister-in-law, Martha Williams; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne W. and Marie (McCandless) Williams; husband of 60 years, Lindell Kommer; brothers, Danny, Maurice, Donny and Bob Williams.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Randy Harris, Richard Culver, Natalie Harris, Crystal Baird, Tim Williams and Blake Baird.
