Joyce (Anderson) Windhorst

Joyce (Anderson) Windhorst, age 87 of Joppa, Illinois passed away at 9:50 am on Friday, March 28, 2025 at the Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Pastor Sonny James Dougherty-Schreiner officiating.

Joyce worked for many years at Frank Farmer Chevrolet and Rudd Woodall Ford. She was a member of Joppa Missionary Baptist Church and the Smiling Mommas.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Michael Lee Windhorst and Everett Dale Windhorst and wife Carol Ann; grandchildren, Anthony Dale Windhorst and wife Misty and Eric Lee Windhorst; great granddaughter, Sophie Blanche Windhorst.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Grace (Harris) Anderson; husband of 63 years, Howard Windhorst; sister, Kathleen Laird; brothers, Charles Anderson and Eugene Anderson.

Memorials may be made in Joyce’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
