Joyce Ann Waddell

Joyce Ann Waddell, age 71 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 12:27 am on Friday, April 18, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at the Liberty Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Justin Wolfe officiating.

Joyce was retired from AEP Cook Coal where she worked in security.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Weston Mescher and wife Rhonda and Preston Mescher; grandchildren, Tyler Parr and Presha Kotter; great grandchildren, Cheyanne Stoner, Travis Stoner, Ryleigh Parr, and Drake Parr; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Silas and Rosalie (Sullivan) Whitley; sister, Marilyn Steele; infant brother, David Ray Whitley.
