Jonah Matthew Welch, 5 months and 10 days of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Norton Children’s Hospital.

Funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Gilbert officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Jonah is survived by his parents, Sherry Welch and Aiden McKinney; grandparents, Ollie Martin, Tiffany Burden and Dustin McKinney; great grandparents, Melinda and Todd Hicks, and Kathaleen and John Mounce; godparents, Amanda and Matt Keffer; one aunt, Kendall Reel; one uncle, Wesley Welch Jr.; and many cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Wesley Welch; great-great grandparents, Lolita and Joe Bowler and Donnie King.
