John Edward Rogers

John Edward Rogers, age 73 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 4:18 am on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at the Metropolis Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Joe Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

John was a retired farmer and was of the Christian faith.

John is survived by his daughter, Angel Gore and husband Kyle; grandchildren, Danielle Higgins and Tori Brame; great grandchildren, Chayden Brame, Landon McGregor, London McGregor, Sawyer Ferguson, Emersyn Ferguson, and Dawson Ferguson; sister, LouAnn Jaco; nephews, Travis Jaco and wife Crystal and David Jaco; niece, Faith Jaco; great nephews, Dylan Jaco, Coy Jaco, and Kage Jaco; great niece, Angel Jaco.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John Robert Rogers and Alberta (Deasel) Rogers Wallace; step father, Bill Wallace; daughter, Melanie Borders; brother-in-law, Danny Jaco.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 12 noon to 2 pm at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Travis Jaco, David Jaco, Dylan Jaco, Coy Jaco, Chayden Brame, Danny Hillebrand, Harold Rogers, and Jared Krueger.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kage Jaco, Dennis Jones, and John Krueger.
