John Lipert

Mr. John Lipert, age 99 of Metropolis, IL formerly from New Jersey, passed away at 10:50 am on Monday, April 1, 2013 at his residence.Funeral mass will be held at 10 am on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Father Michael Christopher Mujule will officiate. Burial will follow at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.John was a retired millwright and a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.John is survived by 2 daughters, Hedy Glembocki and husband Frank of Spring Lake, NJ and Jan Warner and husband Jim of Port Townsend, WA; 1 son, William "Bill" Lipert of Metropolis, IL; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Helena Sabaranska of Poland; several nieces and nephews.John was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Albina Lipert; wife, Ludwika Lipert; 1 grandson; 1 sister & 2 brothers.Visitation will be held on Friday evening April 5, 2013 from 6 to 8 pm at the Miller Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 pm.Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial/Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9956.John's family will serve as the pallbearers.Online condolences may be left at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com
