Joan (Bell) Faulkner

Joan Faulkner, of Temple Hill, Illinois passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

Mrs. Faulkner was born on November 15, 1931 in Tunnel Hill, Illinois to the late George R. and Alma J. Branscum Bell. Joan graduated from Vienna High School in 1949 and married Rodney D. Faulkner in 1950. They were married 65 years until his death. She was a member of Gospel Assembly Church in Paducah, Kentucky.

Joan is survived by a son, Dale Faulkner and wife Helen; two daughter, Diane Simmons and Jena Hillebrand and husband Mike all of Temple Hill.

Eight grandchildren, Jessica Perez (Cody), Kim Enfinger (Brad), Tom Simmons (Kelly Bentson), Ryan Sullivan, Jason Faulkner (Tiffany Graves), Lacey Schmidt (Michael), Dylan Hillebrand, and Dylan Glidden (Shelby Beggs); Thirteen great grandchildren, Allison and Owen Enfinger, Emily and Austin Faulkner, Chelsea Simmons (Andrew McReynolds), Connor and Ava Simmons, Grady, Milo, and Jonah Schmidt, Edison, Anderson, and Quincy Glidden; five great great grandchildren, Addyson, Isabella, and Elijah Simmons, Charleigh Angle, and Kaidyn McReynolds; several nieces and nephews and her beloved church family.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, James Bell, William “Bill” Bell, Robert “Bob” Bell, and Hartley Morris Bell.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 2, 2024 from 1 pm to 2 pm at the Temple Hill Church followed by the funeral service with Brother Mike Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery.

In leu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Temple Hill Cemetery Association, c/o Vicki Watson, 3710 Hobbs Road, Kevil, Kentucky 42053.

Pallbearers will be Brad Enfinger, Tom Simmons, Ryan Sullivan, Jason Faulkner, Michael Schmidt, Dylan Hillebrand, Dylan Glidden, and Andrew McReynolds.
