Jerry "Bonzo" Dassing

Jerry “Bonzo” Dassing, 77 of Paducah, KY, formerly of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Calvert City, KY.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025 at the Loftus-McManus Brookport Funeral Home with Tony Pina and Bro. Justin Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in Pell Cemetery in Brookport, IL.

Jerry was retired as a warehouse supervisor from General Motors after 15 years. He loved the Three Stooges and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Jennifer LaGore and husband Brian; three grandchildren, Lizzie Colles (Patrick), Tony Pina (Amber) and Michael Thompson; one great granddaughter, Desi Colles; one brother, Raymond Dassing and wife Marilyn; stepbrother, David Davits; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orval and Katherine (Wrye) Dassing and wife, Diane Dassing.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Loftus-McManus Brookport Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Tony Pina, Brian LaGore, Patrick Colles, Corey Frick, Lucas Dassing and Brandon Frick.
