Janice L. (Kilgore) Stafford

Janice L. Stafford, 81 of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at the Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Graveside services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Renshaw, IL with Rev. Glenn Coram officiating. Visitation will be held at the cemetery from 11:30 a.m. until 12 noon.

Janice worked for CTS in Paducah and then retired from the Massac County Sheriff’s Department after more than 30 years as a dispatcher. After retirement, she worked at the Metropolis Public Library. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great grandson, Dallas.

Janice is survived by her daughters, Tammy Hall and husband Jimmy and Pam Loven and husband Mark; granddaughter, Marlee Lanham and husband Dustin; great grandson, Dallas Lanham; brother, Gary Kilgore and wife Paula; nephew, Kevin Kilgore and wife Susan; niece, Angela Proctor and husband Brian; two great nephews and one great niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Opal (Snyder) Kilgore and husband of 60 years, Dallas “Bosco” Stafford.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Kilgore, Bob Konemann, Jerry Stafford, Dustin Lanham, Mark Loven, and Jimmy Hall.
