James L. "Rocky" Stewart

James L. “Rocky” Stewart, age 82 of Paducah, KY formerly of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 8:14 pm on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Baptist Health Paducah surrounded by his family.

Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Anderson Cemetery in Boaz, Illinois with Carl Stewart officiating.

Jim was retired from Allied Chemical, was a Mason, member of Broadway Methodist Church, Metropolis Country Club, and served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam war. He was an avid golfer, pool player, and LA Dodgers fan.

Jim is survived by his wife of 58 years, Brenda Stewart; children, Steve Stewart and wife Mary, Kathey Walquist and husband Aric, and Paul Stewart; grandchildren, Andy Walquist, Madison Walquist, Emmy Walquist, and Stevie Nichole Stewart; sisters-in-law, Linda Fiser and Melanie Shepherd; nieces and nephews, Carl Stewart and wife Dacia, Shannie Burke and husband Josh, Kameron Costello, Melissa Smarr and husband Rick, and Josh Shepherd.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Carl “Doc” and Juanita (Morris) Stewart; brother, Richard “Dick” Stewart; niece, Shelly Stewart.
