James Lloyd Watkins

James Lloyd Watkins, age 87 of Brookport, Illinois passed away at 12:50 pm on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at the Metropolis Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

There will not be any services.

James was a retired iron worker working out of Local 782 and a veteran of the United States Army.

James is survived by his daughter, Julie Maupin; son, Bruce Watkins and wife Jenny; grandsons, Matt Watkins, Mitch Watkins, and James Watkins; great grandchildren, Ava, Benjamin, Oliver, Sophia, and Charlotte; sister, Charlotte Wray; several nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents, John H. and Alma Elizabeth (Weaver) Watkins; daughter, Holly Michelle Tyra; son, James Tate Watkins; sisters, Geneva Faughn, Margaret Fincher, Alma Watkins, Louis Watkins, and Wilma Anderson; brothers, Robert Watkins, Dale Watkins, John Watkins, and William Watkins.
