Ina A. (Bates) Ferrell

Ina A. Ferrell, 94 of Grantsburg, IL, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at her home with her children by her side.

Per her wishes, Ina was cremated. A service will be held at a later date.

Ina was an LPN and was retired from Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Metropolis. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball.

Ina is survived by 5 children, Daniel Rust (Vicki) of Florida, Charlene Emery (Penny) of Illinois, John Rust of New Mexico, Lorretta (Pete) Everett of Illinois, and Beverly McBride of Illinois; 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 23 great-great grandchildren; 1 brother, Verbal Bates; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Virgie (Summers) Bates; 1 daughter, Joyce Cash; 1 grandson; 3 great grandchildren; 3 sisters and 5 brothers.
