Hazel (Wiley) Lewis

Hazel (Wiley) Lewis, age 86 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 7:57 pm on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Baptist Health Paducah.

Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Rev. Russell Gilbert Officiating.

Hazel was a member of Waldo Baptist Church and also attended Weaver Creek Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Hazel is survived by her children, Lloyd Dwain Lewis, Jackie Dale Lewis and wife Judy, and Melanie Kay Lewis; grandchildren, Brooke Johnson, Vanesa Sickling, T.J. Runkle, Jessica Evans, Daniel Lewis, Jenny Beach, Jared Oliver; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, John Luke and Rose (Murray) Wiley; husband of 63 years, Lloyd Lewis; grandchildren, Leslie Lewis, Landon Lewis, and Justin Oliver; 12 siblings.

There will not be any visitation. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.
