George Walker Obituary

George A. Walker, age 77 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital.

Per his wishes, he will be cremated and his ashes spread in Tucson, AZ at a later date.

George was retired, having spent his working career as a Construction Engineer and was an Eagle Scout.

George is survived by his wife of 46 years, Barbara Walker; children, Ryan Walker, Renee Townsend (Jason), Justin Walker (Hillary); grandchildren, Riley Walker, Aiden Walker, and Tyler Walker; niece, Jennifer Sparks; great nephew, Cole Billings.

George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jean (Cullor) Walker; sister, Beverly Marich (Tony).
