Gary Alan Witt

Gary Alan Witt, 70 of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Baptist Health Paducah.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, November 4, 2024 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Sielbeck officiating.

Gary served his country in the United States Army, was of Baptist faith and worked in a fiber glass factory for 43 years. He enjoyed woodworking and hunting but being a husband, dad, grandpa and great grandpa brought him the most joy. He was one of a kind, and going to be sorely missed by his family and all who knew him.

Gary is survived by his wife of 42 years, Deena Witt; children, James Witt, Sabrina Walker and husband Jeff, and Rhonda Weasel and husband Dustin; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; brother, Darrel Witt (Barbara); and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin “Happy” and Betty (Parmely) Witt; step-daughters, Patsy Norton and Lawanda Richardson; sister, Tina Futrell; and brother, Bob Witt.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral at 12 noon.
