Elaine "Grandma Doc" (Maddox) Myrick

Elaine “Grandma Doc” (Maddox) Myrick, age 69 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 5:10 pm on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Rev. Royce LaMarr and Bob Myrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Elaine was a very loving and nurturing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, who adored her family and her cats.

Elaine is survived by her husband of 32 years, Jim Myrick; children, Deshae Hale, Deann “Pooh” Metcalf and husband Dusty, and Nick Myrick and wife Jerrye; seven grandchildren, Michael Jacobs, Matt Jacobs, Brayden Campbell, Kelsey Johnson, Allyson Myrick, Olivia Myrick, and Izzy Myrick; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Leslie LaBelle and husband Ray and Gayle LaMarr and husband Royce; nephew, Jim LaBelle; nieces, Lisa Burnham, Kimberly Heck, Kathy Colby, and Kelli Kernan; special great niece whom she referred to as Fancy Face, Jessica Burnham; several great and great great nieces and nephews and many friends.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Lester O. and June E. (Moss) Maddox; nephews, Michael LaBelle and Brian LaMarr.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 10 am until 12 noon at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
