Edward Allen Johnson

Edward Allen Johnson, age 77 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 6:32 pm on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Baptist Health Paducah.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 noon on Friday, May 31, 2024 at Living Waters Full Gospel Church in Joppa with Rev. Shane Baker officiating.

Edward Allen had worked at Big Johns for 19 years, was a member of Living Waters Full Gospel Church, and the Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Johnson and Marla Johnson; sons, Matthew Johnson and Brad Johnson and wife Katie; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Johnson and Lawanda (Sanders) Butterfield; brothers, Steve Johnson, Paul Homberg, Mack Butterfield, and Bobby Butterfield.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 10 am until 12 noon at Living Waters Full Gospel Church in Joppa.

Memorials may be made in Edward Allen’s name to Loftus-McManus Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 760, Metropolis, Illinois 62960 to help the family with expenses.
