Dorothy Louise (Horstman) Robinson

Dorothy (Horstman) Robinson, age 98 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 3:46 pm Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home. A graveside service at Masonic Cemetery in Metropolis will follow with Pastor Tom Emmerson officiating.

Dorothy was a life-long member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church, worked at the Good Luck Glove Factory, was a homemaker, and enjoyed delivering meals for Happy Hearts.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Larry Robinson and Ronnie Robinson; several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mayme (Hitterman) Horstman; husband, John William "Jack" Robinson; sister, Ruby Bremer Buchanan; brother, Virgil Horstman.

Pallbearers will be Derril Bremer, Ben Bremer, Jason Bremer, Nick Bremer, Randy Horstman, and Omar Helal.
