Donald "Donnie" Farris

Donald “Donnie” Farris, 87 of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Massac Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Pastors Mike Hardison and Nate Hillebrand officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Donnie was a retired truck driver after almost 50 years and attended Community Christian Church. He was an Air Force veteran, a member of Masonic Lodge #91, and loved bird hunting and watching NASCAR.

Donnie is survived by his wife of 13 years, Junie Farris; stepchildren, Mike Casper (Rhonda), Ron Casper (Melissa), Laura Miller and Tracy McManus (David); several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Karen Hogue; nieces and nephews, Donnie Hogue (Tonya), Tara Sielbeck (Chris), Brittany Schoenherr (Jeffrey), Zack Hogue (Sarah), and Randy Farris (Lori).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Emma (Stegman) Farris; 1st wife, Mattie Farris; and brother, Robert Eugene Farris.

Visitation will be held at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home on Saturday evening, March 8, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday, March 9th from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral at 2:00 p.m. Masonic rites will be conducted Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m.
