Diane (Korte) Garrow

Diane (Korte) Garrow, age 84 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 4:36 am on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Diane was born on February 1, 1940 on the family farm in Massac County the daughter of Lawrence and Margaret (Koch) Korte.

Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Rev. David Appold officiating.

Diane was part owner of several businesses during her working career which included Charlie’s Sani-Serve, Charlie’s Drive In, Crown Burger, and Montego’s. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Paducah, formerly active with the Metropolis Rotary Club, and a Lois Lane Award Recipient.

Diane is survived by her husband of 33 years, Gus Garrow; her son, Monty Eichorn and wife Patti; grandchildren, Colton Eichorn (Ricci), Madison Puckett (Morgan), and Clayton Eichorn; great grandson, Laine Puckett; sister, Jane Stephenson (Jere); step sons, Steve Garrow and Marshall Garrow; step grandchildren, Courtney Garrow, Christopher Garrow, Carly Garrow, and Elizabeth Garrow; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Geraldine “Geri” Holland (J.D.).

There will not be any visitation. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the services.

Memorials may be made in Diane’s name to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 211 South 21st Street, Paducah, Kentucky 42003.
