Debra Ann (Lauderdale) Stalker

Mrs. Debra Ann Stalker, age 69 of Metropolis, IL died on Sunday March 3, 2024 at Advent Health Hospital. She had her loving husband of almost 50 years, Larry Stalker, by her side.

She is survived by Larry; her daughters, Lori Ann Myers (Michael) and Leslie Murphy (Chad); her grandchildren, Anthony, Alyssa, Jake, Joe, Zack, Emmy, and Mikayla; her brothers, John L. Lauderdale (Debbie) and Robert W. Lauderdale (Challice); and several treasured nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert M. “Bob” and Mary (Choate) Lauderdale.

Debbie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and soon to be great-grandmother. She was an incredible friend to many, who always had an open seat at her table and a warm smile to share. Her love and kind companionship spread from her roots in Chicago, IL all the way to her friends in Frostproof, FL. She served as secretary on the board of directors for the Pope County Mt. Zion Cemetery Association.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 10th, 2024 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 11th, 2024 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Allen Bolland officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
