Danny Worthen Obituary
Danny Gene Worthen, 57 of Estes Park, Colorado, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Hamilton Memorial Rehab and Health Care Center in McLeansboro, IL. He was born on June 8, 1965 in Metropolis, IL, to the late Cecil and Nora (Johnson) Worthen.
Danny spent his time traveling to many places and enjoyed meeting and becoming friends with people along the way. Among his favorite past times were camping, helping others, gardening, horticulture, and just being with friends and close family. He lived a good life and enjoyed meeting people of all aspects of life. He greeted the different faces/parts of his life that impacted him the most and helped to lead his life, whether good or bad. He worked in customer service and was of the Baptist faith.
Danny is survived by two sisters, Kathy (Kim) Pennington of Cisne, IL and Tina (Randy) Serles of Bullhead City, AZ; two brothers, “Buck” Worthen of Florida and Don (Tammy) Worthen of Metropolis, IL; eight nieces and nephews, Jaclyn Strickland (Marcus Mosberger) Grayville, IL, Joshua Pennington of Cisne, IL, Melissa Parker (Michael) of Bullhead City, AZ, Cheryl Patton (Desmond) of Bullhead City, AZ, Randy Serles (Amy) of Tallahassee, FL, Tim Worthen (Dawn Glidewell) of Pekin, IL, and Nikata and Bryanna Worthen of Kentucky; 11 great nieces and nephews, Tyler Patton, Allysen Patton, Cody Parker (Haley Fortune), Kimberlyn and Korbin Strickland, Ann and Troy Mosberger, Olivia and Jackson Serles, Nadiya and Lilliyonna Worthen; six great-great nieces and nephews, Nova and James Patton, Zoe and Jordan Parker, Raylee Parker, Leah Smith-Guerra.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Dorothy “Doe” Worthen; his grandparents; several aunts and uncles.
