Connie Davis

Connie Davis, age 66 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away 5:56 pm on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Baptist Health Paducah surrounded by her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the Lighthouse Assembly of God with Pastor Brett Lazlo officiating.

Connie was retired from the Holman House Restaurant and a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God, where she was active in the Ladies Group.

Connie is survived by her husband of 23 years, Brad Davis; children, Jonathon Piper and Jessica Piper; grandchildren, Emett Valez, Chloe Valez, Roland Piper, and Arlie Charles Piper; great granddaughter, Amina Piper; sisters, Sharon Jones, Phyllis Gunther, and Carolyn Leverett (Mike); father and mother-in-law, Lavelle and Ada Davis; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Audie Virgil and Sadie Mae (Huddleston) Gunther; sister, Catherine Gunther; brothers, Leroy Gunther, Harold Gunther and family, John Gunther, Billy Gunther, Charles Gunther, and Ronnie “Peewee” Gunther; brother-in-law, Randy Davis; mother-in-law, Velma Davis.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 10 am until 11 am at the Lighthouse Assembly of God.

Memorials may be made in Connie’s name to Lighthouse Assembly of God, 670 Airport Road, Metropolis, Illinois 62960.
