Charles "Richie" Richard Hogue

Charles Richard “Richie” Hogue, 51 of Metropolis, IL, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at his residence with his loving family by his side.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Richie was a member of First Baptist Church of Metropolis and a faithful attendee of Kelly Glass’ Encouragers Sunday school class. He was a deckhand for many years  and was currently employed at Big Johns. Richie liked to work with his hands including woodworking and working on cars. He enjoyed horses and dogs, fishing, cooking and spending time with his wife, Michelle and bonus daughter, Iris.

Richie is survived by his stepmother, Jean Hogue; wife of 8 years, Michelle (Hein) Hogue; stepchildren, Madison Carter, Gabe Carter (Trish) and Iris Sexton; sisters, Sherry Bryant, Sindy Herreld and Karen McBride; brothers, Mike Minnaert and John Bowman; mother-in-law, Brenda Holt; special friends, Nicole McCandless, Patricia Cummins and Kelly and Cathe Glass; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen Louise (Nutter) Hogue; father, Charles Ronald Hogue; sister, Judith Ann Hogue; brother, Gordie Minnaert; and father-in-law, John Holt.

Memorial contributions may be given in Richie’s name to the First Baptist Church Building Fund 307 Massac Creek Road, Metropolis, IL 62960.
